Stunningly beautiful way to enjoy extra cool cans in extra hot conditions.
Extremely nice to hold. Keeps drinks really, really cool (>3x the insulation of a 5mm neoprene cooler).
When you want to feed more-than-humans, crunch up ya Snug and add to soil. Also works really well as a seedling protector slip.
We grow Mushy Snugs as merchandise for Festivals, Events, Breweries, Artists, etc.

The original, living, one-of-a-kind Mushy Snug.
Stubby Holders grown out of Native Mushrooms* and Hemp.
Comes in Marble, Velvet, Suede or Nude types. All options available raw or sealed** with a tree-resin-vegetable-oil water proofing finish.
Lasts as long as you take care of it.
- The material itself can stay intact for years.
- Slops and spills on the snug can be soaked up/cleaned away with a wet (water) cloth. Place in the oven at very low heat until dried - then it's party time again.
- Sealed Snugs last longer, but there's something unspeakably magical about holding and sipping from raw Mycelium.
- Minimum orders online are 3+ Snugs/order.
- Go visit our lovely stockists across Naarm/Melbourne for a feel, or if you want to buy just one or two Mushy Snugs.
Velvet:
Unbelievable textural experience. Reminiscent of soft, fluffy bird down and skin of Brie. More durable than you'd expect, but not as durable and firm as the Suede.
Suede:
See velvet, but a more consolidated and slightly firmer surface. Undertones of marbling may start to become visible. More visually complex than Velvet.
Marble:
The Flag Ship Spawn to Grow Tissue Finish. How do they do it?! Do they even know?? (Yes, we do) Our world class Lab Mycologists are very excited to grow your Mushy Snugs with a Marbling finish. A kind of Fungal patina where hard, rusty-looking melanised (like human skin!) tissue is interrupted with islands of pure Velvet and Suede. A tissue Palette you'll have to see and hold to believe.
Spend hours lost in dreaming as your eyes see more-and-more-and-more complexity and detail. This is our most durable Tissue type.
Nude:
Visually and texturally the simplest Tissue type. A stripped back kind of finish, also known as 'bright white minimal'. Shares Marble's harder textural tone, but without the melanisation (still Mycelium white').
*Mushroom is a very broad, widely used and poorly refined term. It typically refers to a fungal macrostructure bearing spores, the 'fruiting-body' of a mycelium. Mycelium has a much more clearly defined meaning. It's the branching, network of fungal filaments (hyphae) that is the major life phase of most Fungus. Our Mushy Snugs are held together and are Mycelium (about 10-20% by weight). The only other physical element in the assemblage is Hemp (80-90% by weight). If your Snug is sealed then there's an additional <0.5% (by weight) tree resin and vegetable oils.
**Sealing over Velvet and Suede fungal tissue will substantially alter the textural qualities. The almost-chalky friction and luxuriant delicacy of these two tissue types becomes almost-hard, and quite shiny. Sealing any Mushy Snug adds sheen and slightly darkens colour tones - if in doubt of Sealed vs. Raw, just get both.
